Taratibu Youth Association at Dance Institute of Washington's Kwanzaa Performance 2023

December 16, 2023 - Experience our Bantu gumboot performance at The Spirit of Kwanzaa, presented by the Dance Institute of Washington at Cramton Auditorium. This year’s theme, Movement Is Power, celebrates the creativity and resilience of the Black diaspora through dance, music, and storytelling. Our presentation featured Ndikhokhele Bawo — a traditional South African Xhosa song inspired by Psalm 23, arranged by The Unveiled.

Since 1995, The Spirit of Kwanzaa has been DIW’s signature cultural arts celebration, highlighting the principles of Kwanzaa through vibrant performances that honor community, heritage, and unity.
